I hope that this introduction gives you an insight into Merton House which is a truly independent, co-educational preparatory school for children from three to eleven years of age. This private school was originally founded in 1950, and is today located in an elegant period building close to the heart of the City of Chester.

Our parents are very involved in the life of the school working with us so that we achieve the very best for our children. Merton House recognises the varied needs of our families and provides 'wrap around' childcare on every school day from 8.00am in our ‘Early Birds’ programme together with a full range of high quality extra curricular activities from 3.30pm-5.00pm included in our published fees. Optional childcare is also available every day from 5.00pm-6.00pm.

Therefore we will not be accepting applications for places for September 2011 after 6th september 2010 until the new admission criteria are in place.
